ADHD Assessment and Treatment Program

Parenting groups and child groups are now being formed for children diagnosed with ADHD and co-morbid disorders:

Cognitive Behavioral Group Treatment for

Children with ADHD

Children who experience problems with attention, behavioral control and peer interactions will be taught in a group context; behavioral and coping skills such as:

       Relaxation Training

       Cognitive Restructuring

       Problem Solving Skills

Weekly individual goals are established for each child. Parents will have the opportunity to share experiences and work on parenting/family goals in their own parent group that runs concurrently.

Fifteen sessions will be held on Tuesdays at

6:30 pm

beginning March 2006

 

Reimbursement may be available through major insurance carriers.
